I am a Michigan-based health and business writer and content marketer.
After receiving a Post-masters in Gerontology, my specialty for writing in the health area focused on aging issues related to health, midlife passages, careers, personal relationships, and mind, memory and mood. I also focused much of my attention to the integration of complementary and traditional medicine.
Early in my career I became well known with the editors I worked with as having the ability to take a complicated medical topic and describe and explain it so that the average reader was able to understand the main points. I continue to use that gift when I write blog posts for clients and for myself or when I write articles, online and offline, for publications.
I have helped entrepreneurs and medical practitioners get the most out of their marketing strategies, on line and off line, for the past 25 years. I’ve produced quality content for patient education and chapters in several books that emphasize healthy aging.
I am a strong supporter of the concept that if you don’t use it, you lose it particularly when referring to our mind and body. Getting older is not an excuse for me to become sloppy in what I do or to quit. Although I am well aware that my body has changed through the years, and I’m unable to carry out many of the activities I did 30 years ago, I continue to challenge myself so that I live life in full potential.
That is the goal I have for myself as I get older – to live my life to its fullest. My hope is that the information you find at this blog will help you accept the challenges of aging and to live a full and complete life.
I am glad to be writing for this blog because health has always been a major concern for me. I am a strong advocate of preventative health and believe my body has a pretty good idea of what to do to keep me well. I also am well aware, however, that sometimes this body needs a boost, with supplements and alternative medicine, with sun screen lotions, and getting a tetanus shot every 10 years.
I am delighted you have decided to join me on this very exciting journey as we find out what it takes to age successfully.
My personal goal is to discover wisdom. After all, that’s the one thing we’ve been told comes with old age.
